Job Summary
Assistant City Solicitor in the Real Estate & Development Unit (entry level) will handle transactional real estate matters for City Departments, including negotiating, reviewing, and drafting lease agreements, licenses, deeds, grant agreements, and professional service contracts; research property title history; draft ordinances for Philadelphia City Council authorization; advise on real estate transactions involving City property; review federal/state laws and City ordinances affecting real estate functions; demonstrate strong writing, negotiation, and analytical skills and contribute to a diverse, inclusive team in service to the City of Philadelphia.
Required Qualifications
- Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Member in good standing of the Pennsylvania Bar or eligible to be admitted by reciprocity (Pa.B.A.R. 204)
