Job Summary
Prosecute municipal ordinance violations, advise elected officials and department heads, and provide practical legal guidance in a fast-paced local government environment. The ideal candidate will have strong municipal-law, litigation, and legal-research skills, along with effective communication, writing, and courtroom abilities; report to the City Attorney in Alamogordo, NM.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Two (2) years of litigation experience (clinic litigation experience considered)
- Licensed to practice law in New Mexico, or ability to obtain licensure within one year
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Must be bondable
