Job Summary
Observe and support each child's developmental progress through daily documentation and assessments while following the classroom's daily schedule to ensure consistency. Implement age-appropriate learning activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth, and create and maintain an organized, welcoming, and safe classroom environment. Prepare engaging materials for play and exploration, assist with diapering, toileting, and hygiene routines, and support meal and snack preparation while following food safety and CDC guidelines. Perform daily cleaning and safety checks to maintain a clean and healthy classroom, provide classroom coverage and support to maintain staff-child ratios at all times, and stay up to date with State of Florida, ELC, OEL, and DCF standards. Foster positive relationships with families and colleagues to ensure quality care and education.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow schedules, classroom routines, and state regulations
- Must meet all state licensing and background screening requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with young children in an early learning environment is preferred
