Job Summary
Assistant Director responsible for leading center operations, staff development, and family engagement in a Brooklyn, NY preschool/early-education center. Role includes identifying and interviewing teacher candidates, conducting classroom observations and evaluations, coaching staff to implement the curriculum with brand standards, managing schedules and ratios, handling new hire paperwork and licensing-compliant records, leading tours for prospective families, maintaining health/safety and licensing compliance, and coordinating with state licensors. Requires NY Teaching Certificate and prior center leadership experience; includes opportunities for advancement and a benefits package including health insurance, PTO, parental leave, and retirement planning.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of center leadership/management experience
- At least one year of center leadership/management experience
- Must have professional teaching experience with infants to preschool children
- Bachelor’s degree in ECE or related field highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations
- CPR and First Aid Certification highly preferred
- Must meet state specific guidelines
