Job Summary
Hire, train, supervise, and motivate maintenance staff while overseeing daily operations, sustainability programs, inventory, ordering, and scheduling within the department budget. Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance across all hotel areas, inspect completed work for quality standards, and troubleshoot technical devices including key card, internet, and television systems. Oversee safety programs and key control, greet guests regarding maintenance requests, and proactively build relationships with long-term guests to ensure satisfaction. This role requires previous supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and availability for weekends, holidays, and after-hours emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Previous maintenance and supervisory experience in hotel or property management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to respond after normal working hours in case of emergencies
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift
- Ability to climb at least four flights of stairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
