Job Summary
Oversee strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for all nursing services, including Emergency, Inpatient, Surgical, and Perioperative areas. Lead preparation and execution of Joint Commission, AHCA, CMS, and DNV surveys while developing corrective action plans for sustained regulatory compliance. Manage nursing operating and capital budgets, optimize staffing, and reduce overtime and agency utilization to achieve financial targets. Collaborate with physician leadership to improve door-to-provider times, sepsis, and stroke performance, while coaching nursing directors and creating succession plans. Monitor quality dashboards, mortality metrics, and patient experience scores to drive continuous improvement and ensure state and federal regulatory readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN)
- Bachelor's degree, in Nursing or related field
- Minimum ten (10) years in nursing experience in an acute care hospital
- Minimum two (2) years in a Director, Administrative Director, Assistant CNO, Associate CNO, VP of Nursing, or Chief Nursing Officer role
- Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing Emergency Department, Inpatient Services, and Surgical Services
- Demonstrated success leading Joint Commission, AHCA/CMS, or DNV surveys
- Proven experience improving quality outcomes, patient experience, nursing productivity, and financial performance
- Experience managing multiple nursing departments in a community acute care hospital
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications and Meditech
- Current Florida Registered Nurse License
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
- Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (American Heart Association)
