Job Summary
Assistant Chief Engineer assists the Chief Engineer in maintaining hotel and club facilities on the maintenance schedule, assigns and supervises engineering staff, ensures equipment runs safely and efficiently, trains staff to maximize guest service and teamwork, tests life safety systems, coordinates with outside contractors/vendors, reviews bids, and helps implement energy-saving programs while maintaining brand standards and operating within budget.
Required Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience
- At least 3-5 years of experience in respected field
- Hands on approach to work and training employees
- Strong understanding of all electrical, HVAC, pool, plumbing, controls, and mechanical equipment
- Pool and Spa Operator Certification (CPO) preferred
