Assistant Chief Engineer (Hotel Terra)

Job Summary
Assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing lodge units, association property, and mechanical systems to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operations. Manage preventive maintenance schedules, perform daily facility inspections, and maintain high standards across all guest areas. Support daily departmental operations, staffing, and team development while applying foundational knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and building construction. Partner with leadership to coach staff and ensure top-notch service delivery. This role requires evening and weekend availability to support the dynamic hotel environment at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
Required Qualifications
- experience in a maintenance and team leadership
- hotel experience
- preferable in a full service upscale independent hotel
- a keen sense for training and coaching great people
- dependable, organized and have a positive, can-do mindset
- take ownership of your tasks and feedback from the manager
- solid foundational understanding of electrical systems
- solid foundational understanding of plumbing
- solid foundational understanding of HVAC
- solid foundational understanding of boilers
- solid foundational understanding of general building construction
- ability to read blue prints
- Tech-Savvy mindset
- proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs)
- Strong reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
- Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends
