Job Summary
Direct daily activities and manage functions related to building operations, including hands-on work with electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment and controls. Oversee HVAC operations, building operating systems, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, air handlers, and water treatment; perform monthly preventive maintenance and analyze data to ensure proper equipment operation. Lead Engineering staff, provide supervision and development, and conduct annual compliance training for engineering teams. Manage vendor review, implementation and enforcement of Method of Procedure (MOP); coordinate daily work assignments with engineering teams, clients, and service providers. Support and coordinate with other internal departments as necessary and ensure compliance and safety within the building operations program.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma required
- HVAC and refrigeration education required
- Willing to obtain NJ Blue Seal Refrigeration License, NJ Black Seal Boiler License & CFC Certification as part of Local 68 Training program
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in building engineering and operations
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in building engineering and operations
- Experience with supervising employees or operating as a team lead
- Excellent communications skills both oral and written
- Basic understanding of accounting, office technology, systems and equipment
