Job Summary
Oversee data center facility operations and maintenance, supervising technical staff to ensure power, cooling, and network infrastructure reliability. Monitor system performance, develop preventive maintenance schedules, and lead capacity planning for infrastructure upgrades. Manage critical incidents and emergency situations, including acting as the first point of contact for electrical distribution system events and conducting root cause analysis. Provide after-hours support for 24x7 responses to service-impacting events. Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and clients while ensuring compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center operations and management
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and network architecture
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices (e.g., ASHRAE, TIA, Uptime Institute)
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Proficiency in using facility management software and building automation systems
- Proficiency in the use of Work Order Management Software (CMMS)
- Valid driver's license
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- On-site location in Austin, TX
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with energy efficiency initiatives and sustainable data center practices
- Knowledge of project management methodologies
- Multi-site data center management experience
