Job Summary
Manage Systems Design and Integration activities through the test phase of the Large Engine Demonstrator while leading design efforts for a Small Engine Demonstrator to enter the single aisle market. Act as a delegate for the Chief Design Engineer to flow down sub-system requirements, manage the Design Iteration and Approval process, and oversee allocated design teams regarding budget and planning. Capture and maintain critical technical data, assess non-conformance at system levels, and manage the Product Introduction Lifecycle Management process. Ensure buy-off of key project decisions through peer reviews and consultation of relevant experts.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified to at least degree level
- Understanding of Product Change control including APQP
- Product Introduction Lifecycle Management experience
- Project Management experience in planning, controlling budgets and driving to schedules
- Engineering and technical competence, demonstrated within and NPI or Demonstrator environment
- Experience applying Systems approach or equivalent (Robust Design lead, Black belt, etc.)
- Experience in leading an Engineering team
