Job Summary
Assistant Chef Manager to partner with the Department Manager to lead the delivery of exceptional food and service experiences that reflect Farm Boy’s commitment to the best fresh shopping experience. Responsibilities include hands-on leadership, coaching and operational support; leading regular team huddles; preparing and cooking fresh offerings for hot and cold bar and grill stations; ensuring excellent customer service, merchandising, rotation, staffing coverage, and high cleanliness; providing office and administrative support such as inventory, ordering, invoicing, scheduling, and payroll functions; promoting compliance with Health & Safety, HACCP, and company policies; and supporting store operations with other duties as needed. Skills emphasized include customer service, team development, training, motivational leadership, organizational and interpersonal abilities, comfort with computer software, and adaptability to a dynamic schedule; English fluency with French as an asset.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a post-secondary program with emphasis in Culinary Management
- Minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role
