Job Summary
Manage kitchen operations across five stations by assisting the Head Chef with rosters, workflow, and daily order execution. Oversee production quality, taste, and freshness for all menu items, conducting daily tastings and ensuring compliance with Tim Ho Wan's Gold Standard. Act as a floating team member to cover absent staff, support training, and coordinate inventory replenishment while maintaining strict sanitation and safety protocols. Prepare ingredients for next-day service, manage waste records, and arrange station cleaning before shifts conclude. Requires food safety certification, one year of Assistant Chef experience, and ability to work flexible evening and weekend schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of high school education
- At least 1 year as an Assistant Chef 2 or equivalent experience in a similar industry
- Food Safety training from an ANSI-approved provider
- Food Handler Certification
- Proficiency in ordering systems
- Basic computer literacy
- Knowledge of food safety
