Job Summary
Assist the Head Coach in managing cheerleading practices, game day performances, and competitions by supervising student-athletes and ensuring safety standards are met. Support recruitment efforts through on-campus and remote clinics at various local events. Attend all scheduled home football and basketball games, overseeing activities and representing Liberty University professionally. Adhere strictly to university policies while fostering the institution's mission through effective communication and strong organizational skills. This temporary, part-time role spans seven months and requires availability for nights, weekends, and travel using a personal or university vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience on a collegiate cheerleading team
- Can work nights and weekends
- Ability to travel
- Able to be responsible and organized when working with the Head Coach, and other Athletic Staff
- Ability to understand, speak, and write English
- Possess public communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer and scheduling skills
- Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems
- Regularly required to hear and speak
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs
- Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop
- Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds
- Use of one's personal vehicle (or LU vehicles)
- Proof of a valid Virginia driver's license
- Acceptable DMV record
- Liability insurance
