Job Summary
Assistant Café Manager supports café operations across the Seattle area, leads teams, coaches, and trains staff, and acts as a reliable Person-in-Charge (PIC). The role involves assisting in hiring and ongoing training on menu and ingredients, managing POS and cafe operations, coaching and performance management, ensuring food safety compliance, scheduling and payroll in the Café Manager’s absence, and maintaining high-quality customer service while upholding Grand Central Bakery’s standards and culture across multiple locations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Valid Food Handler's Card at all times and follows health department guidelines
- Must be able demonstrate regular attendance by coming to work on scheduled working days and being on time
- Two (2) or more years’ experience working in a café, restaurant, or coffee shop required. Leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service at all times
- Ability to work in a team environment with frequent interruptions, background noise, and changing tasks required
