Assistant Buyer - Merch Team (WA)

Job Summary
Execute buying plans and strategies for designated departments to maximize profit contribution while analyzing product performance to optimize unit volume and sales. Manage the In-House Brand critical path pipeline, overseeing item additions, sample requests, and cataloging of gold seal samples. Conduct weekly sales analysis, negotiate cost prices with vendors, and maintain competitive pricing using the AI Market Lens tool. Collaborate with Operations, Digital, and Marketing teams to optimize website experience, approve artwork for EDMs and PDPs, and execute promotional plans across all channels. Run reports on sales comparisons and price point analysis, present findings to the Senior Team, and develop product knowledge sheets for store staff. Support store and competitor visits, address customer queries, and manage vendor relationships to drive continued business growth.
Required Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven ability to establish, maintain, and manage professional internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Sharp quantitative and analytical skills with an eye for detail
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to self-manage and meet deadlines
- Skilled at multitasking and hands-on work
- Strong problem-solving abilities and composure under pressure
- Quick learner with a can-do attitude
- Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Buying team role
