Job Summary
Assist the Buyer across product development, range planning, supplier coordination, and trading analysis to support the full lifecycle from concept to launch. Coordinate supplier briefings, sample tracking, and development timelines; conduct competitor and market analysis to inform category direction; monitor pricing, margins, and historical sales to support product decisions; liaise with internal teams (design, merchandising, quality, marketing) to ensure timely delivery and alignment with brand aesthetics; maintain product data, swatches, and reference tools; act as a point of contact for product-related queries and support cross-team launches.
Required Qualifications
- Early-stage buying or product development experience within retail, homeware, furniture, or a similar consumer product environment
- A passion for textiles, upholstery, or similar would be ideal
- Strong commercial awareness
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident working with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- A team player with a can do, proactive approach
