Job Summary
Assistant Burn Table Operator – Afternoons with shift differential is responsible for loading and material handling on the burn table, using EPICOR ERP to transact work steps and track production time, and engaging in cross-training across Ohio Gratings’ product lines. The role requires operating and assisting with CNC burn tables, adhering to safety rules, maintaining quality and productivity, coordinating with the team and supervisor on issues, and training new associates as needed. The position emphasizes working on the production floor with PPE in a safety-conscious, quality-driven environment and may involve handling scrap, marking drops, grinding, and ensuring proper documentation of travel/production paperwork. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior fabrication experience such as crane operation, metal processing, and material handling equipment experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as travelers, procedures, and instructions
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide by 10’s and 100’s without the use of a calculator
- Ability to perform mathematical operations involving whole numbers and fractions in both standard and metric units of measurement
