Job Summary
Junior Building Surveyor / Project Manager to support CAPEX programmes and hotel refurbishment projects at Montcalm Collection. The role involves assisting in delivering CAPEX investment projects, coordinating works within live hotel environments with minimal operational disruption, managing tender processes and documentation, tracking milestones, risks and costs, and preparing regular progress and cost reports. Requires a Degree in Building Surveying or related discipline, experience with CAPEX/minor works or refurbishment, understanding of tendering and procurement, familiarity with JCT contracts, and Chartered status or progression toward RICS/CIOB. Travel between hotel properties and sites is expected; eligibility to work in the UK is required and visa sponsorship is not available. Demonstrated ability to engage with consultants, designers, and contractors, and to maintain highly organized project administration is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Building Surveying, Project Management, or related discipline
- Experience supporting CAPEX, minor works, or refurbishment projects
- Understanding of tendering and procurement processes
- Working knowledge of JCT contracts
- Strong communication skills with contractors and consultants
- Highly organised with strong administrative skillset
- Experience in hotel or hospitality refurbishment projects
- Chartered or progressing towards RICS, CIOB, or similar professional qualification
- Experience in a consultancy or client-side role
- Proactive, motivated, and keen to develop both technical and project management skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
