Job Summary
Support the talent acquisition, development, and retention of branch sales and operations associates while managing the branch in the Branch Manager's absence. Assist the manager in developing strategies to drive branch sales and profitability, and coordinate procurement, inventory control, shipping, and warehousing in accordance with organizational policies. Solve problems at the branch level, investigate customer complaints regarding damaged items or delivery delays, and make necessary resource adjustments. Manage operational branch-level problems, investigate inventory discrepancies, and ensure all sales orders are billed correctly and timely. Schedule staff and analyze budgets and variances. This role generally requires 5+ years of experience and operation of a company vehicle more than 20% of the work week.
Required Qualifications
- Generally has 5+ years of experience
- This position requires operation of a company vehicle, or a personal vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of the average work week
- A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in construction supply, building materials, or industrial distribution environments
- Working knowledge of branch operations, including inventory control, order fulfillment, and warehouse processes
- Experience supporting or leading front-line teams (warehouse, counter, or inside sales)
- Demonstrated ability to resolve customer issues and operational challenges in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with ERP or order management systems (Oracle preferred)
- Understanding of sales drivers, margins, and branch-level performance metrics
- Familiarity with safety standards and working in OSHA-regulated environments
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) and forklift experience preferred
