Job Summary
Manage daily branch operations by supervising tellers, processing transactions, and overseeing technical tasks such as wire transfers and collections. Lead and coach the team to meet sales and service goals while providing breakthrough client service and resolving complex consumer and business issues. Act as a backup to the personal banking team for opening accounts and gathering credit information, ensuring all audits are satisfactory and standards are exceeded. Maintain strong relationships with local consumers and businesses to deepen customer connections and offer customized financial solutions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's or Bachelor's, Vocational, or Technical Degree in banking, business, or related field or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of retail banking experience
- Ability to act as a Bank MLO for open-end transactions (home equity lines of credit) only
- Ability to register as an MLO complying with SAFE Act requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's, Vocational, or Technical Degree in banking, business, or related field
- 2 years of management or supervisory experience
- 2 years of consumer and small business lending origination experience
- Customer service background in retail or banking
- Demonstrated ability to grow sales by developing long-lasting, knowledge-based relationships with clients and offering customized solutions
- Demonstrated leadership skills such as handling difficult customer and associate conversations in a professional, transparent, and courteous manner
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively
- Proficient use of spreadsheets and other banking computer systems and related software
- Ability to operate a variety of office equipment and to perform repetitive movements for tasks such as counting cash, typing, and handling documents
- Effective training and mentoring skills
