Job Summary
Assistant Branch Manager at Sunflower Bank, N.A. in Tomball, TX. Assists the Branch Manager in overseeing the branch’s retail growth and profitability. Helps maximize sales/production by coaching and developing staff, upholding legendary customer service, and coordinating staff to complete operations effectively. Responsibilities include hiring, training, directing and evaluating staff; maintaining qualified personnel and managing a floater pool; coaching staff to provide exceptional customer service and resolve complaints; motivating staff to achieve branch goals and cross-sell bank products and services; monitoring compliance with banking regulations and policies; scheduling daily activities; managing cash requirements and vault/cash limits; upholding security policies and serving as primary backup for security coordination; ensuring accurate posting and reconciliation of deposits, cash, and online transactions; providing backup coverage as needed. Required experience, strong math, software proficiency, communication, sales capability, leadership, teamwork, and knowledge of bank operations are emphasized, along with the ability to achieve group goals and deliver excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Two to five years of similar or related experience.
- Sound judgement and decision making skills.
- Proficiency with math calculations.
- Computer proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, telephone and written communication skills.
- Sales ability and persuasiveness.
- Interpersonal skills to include a significant level of trust, diplomacy, courtesy and tact.
- Exceptional customer service, sales, leadership, teamwork and management skills.
- Working knowledge of bank operations.
- Ability to develop and achieve group goals in accordance with defined parameters.
