Assistant Branch Manager

Job Summary
Lead and support the team as first-line assistance to the Branch Manager, delivering success through proactive customer advice and relationship management. Get to know product lines and the local market to support sales growth plans while using in-house systems to process orders, organize deliveries, and maintain stock levels. Prioritize Health & Safety for yourself and the team. This role requires a proven sales background with a track record of exceeding targets and strong communication skills. Hours are 7:00am to 16:30pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning. Jewson is a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe with over 600 branches across the UK.
Required Qualifications
- Proven background in Sales with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication to be able to provide great customer service
- A passion for customer service
- An ability to build, develop and maintain relationships
- An ability to lead and support the team
- An ability to act as first line support to the Branch Manager
- An ability to develop great relationships with new and existing Customers (both face to face and over the phone)
- An ability to understand customer needs and provide proactive advice and solutions
- An ability to deliver the best experience possible
- An ability to get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth
- An ability to use in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey
- An ability to maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts
- An ability to lead your team to make Health & Safety a priority
- An ability to demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
- An ability to be based in the Hoddesdon area
- An ability to work hours: 7:00am - 16:30pm or 7:30am to 17:00pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday morning 8am-12pm
