Job Summary
Oversee branch operations by managing facilities, controlling expenses, and executing the strategic plan alongside the Branch Manager. Lead risk controls, audit functions, and cash management while analyzing financial statements to ensure compliance. Drive business development by building centers of influence, growing membership through outreach, and ensuring sound loan and mortgage decisions. Coach direct reports on performance, Member Experience, and training needs to elevate team capabilities. Travel to other branch locations as needed to cover absences. This two-year leadership opportunity focuses on achieving annual financial and Member experience objectives within a cooperative values-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in finance, business, or related program
- PFP or CFP designation
- Continually meet educational requirements to maintain designation
- Mutual Funds license under MFDA
- 5+ years working in banking, with increasing levels of responsibility
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Experience handling complex member situations
- Strong focus on continuous improvement, while maintaining emphasis on organizational goals
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments in the achievement of goals
- Adaptive during branch changes and coverage needs
- Experience mentoring and coaching future talent
