Job Summary
Assist Branch Manager at the Madison Avenue Branch in Midtown Manhattan by overseeing day-to-day branch operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding staff to meet policies and procedures. Responsibilities include scheduling, recruiting, training, evaluating, developing, and mentoring staff; supervising Head Teller and Customer Service Associates to deliver superior service; making procedural decisions, interpreting bank policy, and consulting with Branch Operations as needed. Possesses strong knowledge of the bank's products and services to provide appropriate solutions for customers’ financial needs, including opening, closing, selling, and servicing deposit and consumer loan products. Supports new business development through in-branch sales, customer/prospect outreach, and follow-up campaigns. May exercise overdraft decisions within authority. Maintains branch security, ensures BSA CTRs and SARs reporting, and provides training on regulatory requirements to staff. Participates in community activities and can fill in on teller platforms when needed. Adheres to all bank policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- minimum 5 years' banking and/or management experience
- Must be a notary public or become one within 6 months
- Advanced PC, Network, Advanced E-Mail, Director, Internet, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, ITI Advanced, Transaction Research
