Job Summary
Assistant Branch Manager responsible for supporting the Branch Manager, overseeing Loan Officers, and ensuring policy compliance while cross-selling credit union loan products to meet management goals. Duties include acting in the Branch Manager’s absence, supervising operations, educating members on policies and related laws (Reg CC, BSA, OFAC, CIP), maintaining NMLS eligibility under the SAFE Act, performing loan officer, teller, receptionist, and member service roles, evaluating employee performance, and contributing to branch performance through process improvements. Requires strong lending knowledge, policy understanding, communication skills, and proficiency with MS Word and Excel; extended sitting and occasional lifting/travel are expected.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Experience in supervision, financial services and/or customer service
- At least 3 years prior experience preferred
- Eligible to register and maintain active status with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) under the SAFE Act
