Job Summary
Conduct daily practice sessions, manage game operations, and oversee player development for the boys' basketball team while adhering to VHSL rules. Manage administrative duties including scheduling, roster maintenance, and communication with parents and staff. Submit a standard on-line application with two letters of reference and a recent TB test or screening. This role requires moderate physical activity, potential exposure to extreme temperatures, and a minimum of one year of coaching experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must have extensive knowledge of the rules and skills in the sport applying for
- Must be program centered
- Must have specific skills
- Must exhibit good sportsmanship
- Must have knowledge of VHSL rules
- Must work well with children
- Must be able to handle average-weight objects up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for several hours per day
- Must be able to work in unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises
- Must be able to work with minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating heavy and/or dangerous equipment or working with chemicals
- Must submit a standard on-line application
- Must provide two letters of reference
- Must provide a recent TB test or screening
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of coaching experience as an Assistant or Head Coach preferred
- Previously competed at the college level, club team or professional level
