Job Summary
Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at Canby High School to begin 11/16/2026. Responsible for supporting the interscholastic basketball program, supervising students, and assisting with coaching duties. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a current First Aid/CPR card. Required OSAA trainings prior to working with athletes (Interscholastic Coaching Course, Concussion Recognition & Management, Heat Illness Prevention, Anabolic Steroids and Performance-Enhancing Substances, and Interrupting and Preventing Discriminatory Acts) and SafeSchools training. Must be able to collaborate with students, families, school staff, and the public, and complete fingerprint-based criminal records check upon offer. This is a part-time role contingent upon fundraised dollars with potential to support the athletic program and student supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of emergency first aid procedures — current First Aid/CPR card required
- Ability to work successfully with high school students, families, school staff, and the public
- Ability to perform extra duty responsibilities in accordance with school and district procedures and policies
- Ability to meet criminal records requirements of the state of Oregon
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position
