Job Summary
Assistant BIM Coordinator role in Charlotte, NC focused on supporting design and development with HVAC/mechanical systems using Revit, BIM tools, and fabrication workflows. Responsibilities include reviewing submittals and drawings, coordinating with project teams, creating shop and hanger drawings, setting up Revit views, transmitting documents, and ensuring on-time delivery. Requires collaboration in meetings, basic Revit operations training, familiarity with 3D layout and coordination, and strong communication across engineers, PMs, and field staff. 2-year technical degree preferred; experience with Revit, Navis Works, BIM 360 Glue, and mechanical drafting conventions beneficial. Overtime may be required; background check and drug test are required. Beneficial to have proficiency in MS Office and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year technical degree preferred
- Experience with Revit
- Knowledge of mechanical drafting/modeling conventions
- Experience reading 2D plans
- Familiarity with Navis Works, BIM 360 Glue
- Construction experience preferred
- Proficient with MS Office
- Some overtime is required
- Background check and drug test required
