Job Summary
Conduct daily operations in the beef shoppe and seafood departments by greeting guests, preparing products for sale, and maintaining inventory levels. Achieve budgeted sales and gross profits while ensuring safety, sanitation, and freshness standards across prep areas, coolers, and the sales floor. Provide guidance, orientation, and training to staff to ensure satisfactory performance and guest interaction. Manage labor budgets to schedule optimal hours and assume department manager duties during their absence. Requires ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and work in cold environments.
Required Qualifications
- Should possess good interpersonal skills, effective selling skills, and have an outgoing personality
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to sell and interact with guests
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly
- Ability to read and understand information and directions
- Knowledge of meat/seafood products and operations
- Ability to supervise people, including training and development
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, including operating a computer
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to work in a cold environment
- Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time
