Job Summary
Oversee daily beef shoppe and seafood department operations, ensuring guest service, merchandising programs, and sales targets are met. Prepare products for sale through cutting, slicing, trimming, wrapping, and pricing while maintaining inventory levels and product freshness. Enforce safety and sanitation standards across prep areas, coolers, and the sales floor. Train and guide staff to achieve performance standards and manage labor budgets for optimal scheduling. Assume duties of the Department Manager during their absence. Lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly in a cold environment. Work in a lowes foods environment supporting maximum sales and guest satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Should possess good interpersonal skills, effective selling skills, and have an outgoing personality
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to sell and interact with guests
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly
- Ability to read and understand information and directions
- Knowledge of meat/seafood products and operations
- Ability to supervise people, including training and development
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, including operating a computer
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to work in a cold environment
- Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time
