Job Summary
Assist in safe and efficient production at a portable concrete plant by overseeing batch operations, weighing and mixing aggregate, cement, and water, and coordinating setup/teardown, material ordering, maintenance, and record-keeping. Requires knowledge of concrete batching, ability to repair machinery with hand/power tools and welding, favorable electrical repair experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with front-end loaders. Must obtain ACI Level 1 certification within the first year of employment; candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well with others.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years with concrete batching in ready mix or concrete paving
- Technical training or related experience with concrete batching
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment, methods, and safety procedures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Duties and Responsibilities: Overseeing all plant operations; Coordinate daily paperwork with superintendents; Oversee all maintenance and mobilization; Ensure equipment continually remains and operates in a safe and efficient manner; Maintaining accurate and current reports as required; Follow all company safety policies and procedures; Ensure all environmental regulations and policies are followed; Regular attendance required
