Job Summary
Oversee bakery department operations and staffing, including decorating cakes and pastries to recipe specifications, ensuring product freshness and quality, and maintaining accurate production logs. Assist Bakery Manager with scheduling, training, merchandising, inventory control, and compliance with company recipes and procedures. Provide strong customer service, resolve issues promptly, and help drive department profitability by managing costs, labor, and department standards. May cover Bakery Manager duties in their absence and supervise associates to maximize efficiency and maintain a welcoming, high-quality bakery experience for customers.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business related or food service-related field desirable
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in management in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment
- Previous decorating experience preferred
