Job Summary
Manage and lead Bakery Clerks while assisting the Bakery Manager in daily department supervision, merchandising, and inventory controls. Execute merchandise rotation and display building, monitor incoming cases for damage, and ensure delivery of excellent customer service and product quality. Unload and sort store deliveries, operate and maintain deli equipment, and validate that all team members adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Perform general housekeeping, clean work areas, and operate kitchen tools including knives, scales, and pallet jacks. Answer phones, take special orders, and maintain a Food Handlers permit while working flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- minimum of two years' retail grocery experience
- two years supervisory experience
- Be dependable and reliable

- vertically/horizontally transferring items up to 40 lbs., from 5" to 36", for a distance up to 36 feet for up to 10 hours without mechanical assistance
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
