Job Summary
Manage and lead Bakery Clerks while assisting the Bakery Manager in daily department supervision, merchandising, and inventory controls. Order stock, monitor incoming cases for damage, and execute merchandise rotation and display building. Ensure product quality, deliver excellent customer service, and validate that all team members follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Unload deliveries, operate deli equipment, and perform general housekeeping to clean and sanitize work areas. Adhere to all weights and measures regulations and maintain a Food Handlers permit.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- minimum of two years' retail grocery experience
- two years supervisory experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- ability to work flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays

- Be able to answer phones
- take special orders
- Be able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift
- vertically transferring tray up to 5 lbs., from 7" to 64" for up to 10 hours
- vertically/horizontally transferring items up to 40 lbs., from 5" to 36", for a distance up to 36 feet for up to 10 hours without mechanical assistance
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
