Job Summary
Full-time Assistant Bakery Manager in Greenbrae, CA, partnering with the Bakery Manager to oversee production, merchandising, staff development and customer service. Responsibilities include supervising in the manager’s absence, interviewing, training and counseling team members to build a high-performing team, maintaining a positive work environment, and managing inventory and pricing to achieve margin and labor targets. Adherence to health and sanitation procedures, weights and measures, and safe work practices; operate and sanitize equipment; provide exceptional customer service; contribute to a collaborative, customer-focused bakery operation with opportunities for growth in a local family-owned market.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years bakery management experience
- Analytical ability and proficiency in math to calculate margins, monitor profitability and manage inventory
- Passion and appreciation for Scratch Baking
- Comprehensive Bakery product knowledge
- Clear and effective communicator
- Strong ability to work with others in a team
- Enjoys mentoring others
- Strong organizational skills
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays
