Job Summary
Support the Bakery Manager in daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, customer service, and team supervision. Lead and coach staff to maintain efficient workflows while managing shift schedules, staffing, and smooth execution. Monitor inventory, oversee food handling and production, and coordinate supply ordering to control costs and reduce waste. Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations through ongoing training and oversight. Process cash and credit transactions accurately using the POS system while maintaining accountability for cash handling. Train new employees on operational procedures, food preparation, and customer service standards. Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new staff. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming bakery environment. Requires previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced restaurant setting and strong leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a quick-service, fast-food, or casual dining restaurant environment.
- Prior supervisory, shift leader, or assistant management experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Experience with inventory management, food cost control, budgeting, and food safety compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and team development skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining exceptional customer service.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food preparation, food handling, catering, beverage service, or barista experience is a plus.
- Hotel or broader hospitality management experience is an asset.
