Job Summary
Oversee daily bakery operations, including production, merchandising, inventory management, and food safety compliance. Assist customers with product selection, resolve concerns, and drive sales through effective displays and promotions. Provide leadership and direction to associates during shifts, manage scheduling, and train new staff on departmental procedures. Assume full responsibility for the department in the Bakery Manager's absence, ensuring operational readiness and adherence to standards. Support achievement of sales, labor, and profitability goals while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bakery, food service, or retail experience
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and heavier loads with assistance when necessary
- Ability to work around bakery equipment, ovens, refrigeration units, and food preparation areas
- Ability to safely handle bakery equipment, tools, and supplies
