Assistant Automation Maintenance Technician (TUES-SAT)

Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance on all automated equipment as scheduled and directed, carrying out robotic and facilities inspections to identify and resolve issues. Evaluate, diagnose, and repair malfunctioning automation systems including Robotic P1200s, Pop Pick Stations, and Induction/Decant equipment to improve uptime. Accurately document all maintenance activities in CWMS logs and manage spare parts inventory with weekly summaries. Coordinate with operations teams to maximize equipment availability and adjust schedules to accommodate business needs. Safely operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and powered pallet jacks while complying with all safety requirements and PPE protocols. Work full-time Tuesday through Saturday, with Tuesday-Friday shifts running 2pm to 10:30pm and Saturday from 10am to 6:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate
- 6 months experience in a similar maintenance position
- Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance
- A clear understanding of mechanical tools and some electrical tools
- Ability to read and understand documents written in English
- Have the physical strength and dexterity to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Able to work overtime when required
- Willing to perform other duties as required
- Willing and open to learning new skills not yet acquired
- Must be a highly flexible individual that can adjust to changes quickly
- Must be willing to work overtime and holidays as needed to maintain maximum uptime on all robotic equipment and systems
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Basic or higher level of computers, Microsoft
- Ability to safely operate typical material handling equipment such as, forklifts and powered pallet jacks
- Must be able to stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift

- Must follow the direction of the Automation Maintenance Technician on site regarding work assignments
- Must follow the safe and proper preventive maintenance to all automation type of equipment based on their respective maintenance schedules
- Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and test equipment to improve systems uptime and reliability
- Ability to maintain and update all process documentation
- Ability to accurately document and communicate all preventative maintenance and repair activities daily
- Ability to provide weekly summary for spare parts inventory usage and accuracy
- Ability to adjust work schedule as needed to accommodate business needs
- Ability to perform certain tasks outside of normal operations functions
- Ability to actively coordinate and communicate with operations team to maximize equipment availability
- Ability to ensure security of all company tools and diagnostic devices
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment
- Ability to initiate work requests
- Ability to seek out ways to improve Process and Equipment
- Ability to assist with troubleshooting when needed
- Ability to comply with all safety requirements and proper use of (PPE) Personal Protective Equipment
