Job Summary
Investigate and prosecute criminal conduct related to expanded gaming, including violations of G.L. c. 23K, c. 23N, c. 267A, and c. 271, alongside firearm-related crimes, domestic violence, and sophisticated larcenies. Lead and coordinate investigations and prosecutions with the State Police Gaming Enforcement Unit, federal, state, and local partners while screening potential cases and fostering relationships with industry stakeholders. Conduct long- and short-term investigations, including lengthy grand jury proceedings, and handle a complex caseload requiring appearance in Superior Court or U.S. District Court. Work cohesively with victim/witness advocates, paralegals, and support staff under the Enhanced Code of Ethics. Requires a Massachusetts bar membership, five years of practice experience, and ability to travel statewide; hybrid schedule includes three to four office days initially.
Required Qualifications
- Member of the Massachusetts bar
- Practicing attorney
- At least five (5) years of experience as an attorney
- Valid Massachusetts Driver's License
- Ability to handle a large and advanced caseload
- Comfortable appearing in court
- Ability to conduct long- and short-term investigations
- Ability to conduct lengthy grand jury investigations
- Excellent legal writing experience

- Knowledge of, or ability to gain understanding of, larceny
- Knowledge of, or ability to gain understanding of, domestic violence
- Knowledge of, or ability to gain understanding of, sexual assault
- Trial experience in Superior Court or U.S. District Court
- Experience preferably in state criminal practice
