Assistant Athletic Trainer

Provide LSUE with injury prevention, evaluation, and treatment of injuries incurred by student athletes during practices, games, events, and tournaments; maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records; assist with injury prevention and rehabilitation programs customized to each patient; onsite care and management of injuries/illnesses including evaluation and referrals when necessary; promote athlete safety through technique instruction, use of devices such as tape and braces, and well-defined event venue EAPs and procedures; maintain open communication between athletic trainers, coaching staff, physicians, and student athletes; assist with injury documentation and baseline concussion testing.
