Job Summary
Evaluate, treat, and provide rehabilitation for athletic injuries while reviewing and documenting cases. Provide referrals for appropriate medical care and manage insurance processing for athletic injuries. Deliver athletic training services on the field or court during practices and events. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of and respect for diverse cultures and backgrounds. This 10-month position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine at the University of Tampa.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- One year of NATABOC certified experience
- Florida licensed or eligible
- Good oral, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely
- Ability to travel and work evenings, weekends and some holidays
- Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office
- Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices
- Finalists may be required to submit to a criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience supervising and teaching student athletic trainers
