Assistant Athletic Equipment Manager

Job Summary
Assist with daily operation of the athletic equipment room by issuing, collecting, organizing, inspecting, and storing uniforms, apparel, towels, and equipment. Coordinate laundry operations including collection, laundering, drying, folding, and redistribution of gear to facilities. Prepare equipment and uniforms for practices, contests, travel, and tournaments while maintaining organized storage areas. Assist in inventory counts, end-of-season collection, and reconciliation. Support student-athletes with fitting, inspect equipment for safety, and help assemble, transport, and retrieve gear. Provide daily service to coaches, students, trainers, and visitors while receiving shipments and stocking supplies. Work five days including regular Saturday schedule with flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and additional hours during tournaments and championships.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push carts loaded with uniforms, laundry, and athletic equipment
- Ability to walk extensively across campus throughout the day
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, kneel, climb stairs, and perform repetitive lifting
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree
- Previous experience working in athletics, equipment operations, facilities, logistics, retail operations, or warehouse operations
- Experience working with adolescents or in an educational environment
