Job Summary
Assist the Athletic Director with daily operations, including scheduling contests and practices, enforcing NCHSAA rules, and coordinating game-day logistics like ticketing, security, and facility readiness. Serve as administrative supervisor for home and away events, managing crowd control, emergency responses, and ensuring safe, sportsmanlike environments. Promote student-athlete development by monitoring eligibility, fostering academic excellence, and organizing recognition programs while building relationships with parents, boosters, and community stakeholders. Manage communications, social media, and fundraising initiatives to support the athletic program. This role includes evening, weekend, and holiday coverage, with a stipend for the 2026-2027 school year.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of interscholastic athletic programs, rules, regulations, and eligibility requirements
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, events, and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to make sound decisions and effectively solve problems in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in the use of technology, data management systems, and communication platforms
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, staff, parents, officials, and community stakeholders
- Basic budgeting, accounting, and financial record-keeping skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the athletic schedule
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during athletic events
- Ability to lift and carry athletic equipment and supplies up to 25 pounds
- Ability to travel to athletic contests and related activities
