Job Summary
Assist coaches in planning and supervising practices while teaching individual skills, team strategies, and game rules. Promote sports within the school and community, check participant eligibility and insurance coverage, and recommend equipment purchases for athlete safety. Provide emotional support, model professionalism, and conduct small-group learning experiences to foster good sportsmanship and self-control. Develop strong communication lines with players, parents, school personnel, officials, and media representatives. Read and apply all rules, regulations, policies, and procedures while adhering to the code of ethics. Demonstrate commitment to professional growth and punctuality during seasonal contracted hours.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma, G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law
- Current CPR/AED certification
- NFHS Coach ED Training
- at least 21 years of age
