Job Summary
Assist coaches on one or more sports by organizing and supervising practices, teaching fundamental skills, team strategy, and game rules. Promote sports within the school and community while checking participant eligibility, insurance coverage, and parent consent. Provide students with a proper role model, emotional support, and guidance, fostering good sportsmanship and self-control. Develop rapport with players, parents, school personnel, officials, and media representatives. Recommend equipment, supplies, and uniforms appropriate for athlete health and safety. Read, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures while demonstrating commitment to professional growth and punctuality.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma, G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law
- Current CPR/AED certification
- NFHS Coach ED Training
- at least 21 years of age
