Job Summary
Organize and supervise practices while assisting coaches on one or more sports. Teach individual fundamental skills, team strategy, and game rules to student athletes. Promote sports within the school and community by developing rapport with players, parents, and officials. Check participant eligibility, including insurance coverage and consent forms. Provide emotional support and model professional sportsmanship. Assist in planning the athletic program and recommend equipment purchases. Conduct learning experiences with small groups and adhere to NFHS Coach ED Training requirements.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma, G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law
- Current CPR/AED certification
- NFHS Coach ED Training
- at least 21 years of age
