Job Summary
Assist coaches on one or more sports by organizing and supervising practices, teaching individual fundamental skills, team play, strategy, and game rules. Promote sports within the school and community while checking participant eligibility, insurance coverage, and parent consent. Provide students with a role model, emotional support, and guidance on good sportsmanship and self-control during learning experiences with small groups. Respect the integrity of sports officials and recommend equipment, supplies, and uniforms appropriate for athlete health and safety. Maintain professional appearance, punctuality, and regular attendance while adhering to the code of ethics.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma, G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law
- Current CPR/AED certification
- NFHS Coach ED Training
- at least 21 years of age
