Job Summary

Support the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine by delivering pre-clinical and clinical teaching, managing patient care in the Academic Health Center, and conducting research or scholarly activities as directed by the Department Chairperson. Provide college service through attendance at departmental and school-wide meetings and committee work. Maintain active medical staff privileges and participate in medical insurance plans while demonstrating a record of up-to-date publications in professional journals. The role requires a D.O. or M.D. degree, board certification in Neuromusculoskeletal Manual Medicine and/or Special Proficiency in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, and strong verbal and written communication skills. Salary ranges from $150,000 to $180,000 annually.

Required Qualifications

  • D.O. or M.D. degree from a COCA-approved school of osteopathic medicine or school of medicine accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation or the Liaison Committee on Medical Education, respectively
  • Completion of an AOA or ACGME- approved residency or equivalent board certification in the fields of Neuromusculoskeletal Manual Medicine (NMM) and/or Special Proficiency in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (CS-POMM) and/or Family Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Rheumatology, Orthopedic Surgery or any field deemed appropriate after review by the Department Chairperson
  • hospital appointment (or pending application) for active medical staff privileges
  • participation in medical insurance plans
  • Documented interest and/or relevant experience in undergraduate and/or graduate medical education
  • demonstrated research or scholarly activities
  • record of up-to-date publications in professional journals
  • The ability to communicate well, in writing and verbally
