Job Summary
Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry invites applications for full-time and part-time faculty positions in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The candidate will contribute to clinical teaching, didactic instruction, curriculum development, research and scholarly activities, and patient-centered care. Ideal candidates will demonstrate proficiency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, strong instructional and communication skills in academic settings, ability to work with diverse students and populations, familiarity with educational technology and electronic health records, and experience with curriculum design and academic program assistance; candidates should have published research and scholarly contributions in the field.
Required Qualifications
- DDS or DMD from a U.S. or Canadian accredited dental school
- Clinical teaching experience at the predoctoral or postdoctoral level
- Licensed to practice dentistry in the state of Tennessee or eligible to become licensed
- Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from a US or Canadian CODA-accredited postgraduate program
